Ovarian Cancer Stage I: 90-95%;
Ovarian Cancer Stage II: 60-70%;
Ovarian Cancer Stage III: 30-40%;
Ovarian Cancer Stage IV: 20%.
Tumor staging is closely related to survival, and early detection and timely treatment are important factors to improve the survival rate of ovarian cancer. Only by identifying the stage of ovarian cancer, oncologists can better develop treatment options. How is the ovarian cancer specifically staged?
The T refers to the size and extent of the main tumor. The main tumor is usually called the primary tumor.
T1, T2, T3, T4: refers to the size and/or extent of the main tumor. The higher the number after the T, the larger the tumor or the more it has grown into nearby tissues.
The N refers to the number of nearby lymph nodes that have cancer.
N1, N2, N3: refers to the number and location of lymph nodes that contain cancer. The higher the number after the N, the more lymph nodes that contain cancer.
The M refers to whether the cancer has metastasized. This means that the cancer has spread from the primary tumor to other parts of the body.
Ovarian cancer staging, details are as follows:
(The treatment plan for each stage of ovarian cancer is for reference only and cannot be used as the sole basis for clinical treatment)
Stage 0 Ovarian Cancer: Tis (in situ carcinoma),N0, M0
Treatment for Stage 0 Ovarian Cancer: surgical resection
Stage I Ovarian Cancer: T1-T2, N0, M0-tumors confined to the ovary
Stage II Ovarian Cancer: T2-T3, N0, M0- tumor confined in the pelvis, invading adjacent structures;
Stage III Ovarian Cancer: any T stage, any N stage, M0- tumor has invaded the peritoneum or spread to lymphatic system;
Stage IV Ovarian Cancer: any T stage, any N stage, M1- distant metastases with cancer cells spreading to other organs such as liver and lungs.
Ovarian Cancer Recurrence: ovarian cancer recurs in multiple organs, e.g. vagina, pelvis, liver, lungs, spleen, kidney, adrenal gland, mediastinum, lymph nodes, etc.
Treatment options for Ovarian Cancer Recurrence: interventional therapy, cryotherapy, particle implantation, nanoknife, microwave ablation, gene-targeted therapy, natural therapy, integrated TCM and Western medicine;
