The opening ceremony of Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital Consultancy Penang, which is co-founded by Penang Anti-Cancer Association and St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, was officially held in Penang on Jan. 13, 2018. The establishment of Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital Consultancy Penang is to provide consultation services for cancer patients in North Malaysia and to benefit more cancer patients in Malaysia.

Consultant of Penang Anti-Cancer Association and president of Penang Port Commision, Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, President of Penang Anti-Cancer Association Mr. Tan Yong Seng DJN and Chief Medical Consultant of Penang Anti-Cancer Association Dr. Tai Lee Siang, and chief oncologist of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou Prof. Peng Xiaochi and Prof. Xu Haitao, doctor of Kuala Lumpur office of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, attended the opening ceremony.

Consultant of Penang Anti-Cancer Association and president of Penang Port Commision, Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, said that Malaysia and China have achieved good cooperation in economy and trade and he hopes the two countries can also cooperate in medical treatment to benefit people suffering from cancer. He also noted that cancer patients were always helpless to seek medical treatment and taking various expensive health products without any prescription. Now, they are welcome to consult in the Consultancy at any time.

The establishment of St. Stamford Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital Consultancy means that cancer patients in North Malaysia can get medical guidance from a consultant team composed by Dr. Tai Lee Siang without going to Guangzhou.
